Your MissionJoin Clear Edge as a Senior Accountant where you will support the financial operations of a growing federal contracting company with multiple LLCs and dynamic business activities. This role ensures accuracy and compliance across all entities, maintaining financial integrity in alignment with GAAP, FAR, and DCAA requirements. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast‑paced, hands‑on environment and can manage complex intercompany transactions, cost allocations, and reporting needs across multiple business units.
Youwill excel in this role if you are:
- A person who enjoys working as a member in a small team
- Self‑motivated and independent with a desire to build new skills and use their knowledge to further grow with the company
- Skilled in accounting system implementation, audits, and content management
- Organized and able to communicate with internal and external parties
- Experienced with accounting standards and complex intercompany transactions
- Completing and reviewing full‑charge bookkeeping and accounting functions across LLCs and related entities
- Reconciling intercompany transactions and ensuring accurate consolidation of financials
- Preparing and posting journal entries, accruals, and month‑end adjustments across multiple entities
- Preparing and analyzing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Managing indirect cost rate development (fringe, overhead, G&A) and ensuring compliance with FAR and CAS
- Processing accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and billing for various federal/commercial contracts, across multiple entities
- Generating and reviewing invoices in compliance with contract terms
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis for each entity
- Collaborating with managers to ensure accurate job costing and labor allocation
- Assisting in payroll activities as needed
- A Bachelor of Science (BS) in Business, Accounting or Finance from an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience is required
- A minimum of eight (8) years of related professional experience is required
- A working knowledge of systems including Unanet and Paycom
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and ability to learn additional company selected software with ability to adapt to changing software
- Working knowledge of GAAP, Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
- Experience with multi‑entity accounting & financials
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification or in progress certification
- Microsoft Office Specialist certification in Excel
- An active TS/SCI with Poly security clearance
