Principal/SR Principal Proposal Operations Analyst - R
Join Northrop Grumman as a Principal/SR Principal Proposal Operations Analyst. This role supports senior proposal and operations leaders, working with program managers, functional leaders, engineers, and stakeholders across multiple proposal activities.
LocationOn-site in Annapolis Junction, MD.

Responsibilities- Assist in defining, planning, organizing, and preparing proposals, including style, formatting, and version control.
- Support collaborative teams to develop, review, and submit proposals that represent our strategy while eliminating non‑compliances.
- Establish and maintain a structured, communicative working environment that supports high productivity.
- Maintain document library organization, version control of stored documents, and address classification marking requirements.
- Ensure proposal teams meet all process, procedure, training, communications, metrics, tools, logistics, and review support requirements.
- Schedule and facilitate meetings to track proposal actions and status.
- Support the final consolidation of proposal content across volumes (risks, ground rules, assumptions).
- Develop and maintain a working knowledge of proposal schedules, internal and external processes, guidelines, policies, best practices, and requirements, ensuring compliance.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university and 6 years of experience, OR Master’s Degree with 2 years of experience, OR PhD with 0 years of experience.
- Demonstrated experience in a proposal or program operations role.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint).
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams.
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Current/Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university and 10 years of experience, OR Master’s Degree with 4 years of experience, OR PhD with 4 years of experience.
- Demonstrated experience in a proposal or program operations role.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint).
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams.
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Current/Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
- High proficiency in desktop publishing and Acrobat Pro.
- Familiarity with Project & Task Management tools:
Jira, Confluence. - Demonstrated success in a proposal or program operations role.
- Experience supporting a capture and/or proposal through a formal process.
- Knowledge of U.S. Government acquisition process and Northrop Grumman’s Business Acquisition Process.
Primary Level Range: $98,900 – $148,300. Second Level Range: $123,400 – $185,000. Salary is determined by scope, responsibilities, experience, education, skills, and market conditions.
