- Work with the Emerging Technologies team to develop and validate new thermal energy storage, heat rejection, heat transfer technologies, water monitoring and treatment, carbon capture, and/or related technologies
- Design and assemble small and/or medium scale test modules
- Design and run small and/or medium scale performance and reliability testing equipment and procedures
- Support development of numerical performance modeling tools based on the available data sets
- Identify and qualify alternative design and materials of construction options
- Work with the Emerging Technologies team to develop and validate new thermal energy storage, heat rejection, heat transfer technologies, water monitoring and treatment, carbon capture, and/or related technologies
- Design and assemble small and/or medium scale test modules
- Design and run small and/or medium scale performance and reliability testing equipment and procedures
- Support development of numerical performance modeling tools based on the available data sets
- Identify and qualify alternative design and materials of construction options
- Support technology scale-up activities (e.g. product concept development, cost modeling…)
- Majoring in Engineering (Mechanical, Aerospace, Mechatronics, or Materials preferred)
- Seniors or MS students preferred
- Experience with 2D and 3D CAD required; experience with Autodesk Inventor preferred but not required
- Hands‑on machining experience required
- Working knowledge of design of experiments principles
- Working knowledge of thermodynamics, heat and mass transfer, and fluid dynamics
- Working knowledge of data acquisition equipment setup an operation
- Proficient in Excel; advanced knowledge of Excel VBA, Matlab, or similar programming language preferred
BAC Hiring Compensation Range $22 - $28 per hour.
BAC provides additional earnings in the form of overtime as applicable under law.
