AWS is looking for fully cleared
* Data Center Technicians to join our Infrastructure Operations team. Data Center Technicians are the primary resolver and troubleshoot and solve a range of data center infrastructure issues including hardware, fiber, networking, and related problems.

If you like applying IT principles (e.g., computer architecture and the OSI model) to problem solving, we’d like to meet you. Your work will help maintain one of the world’s largest information system infrastructures.

Basic Qualifications

• High school or equivalent diploma, or A+ or CND (Certified Network Defender) or Network+ or Security+
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph

Preferred Qualifications

• A+ or CND (Certified Network Defender) or Network+ or Security+
• Hands-on experience with hardware platforms (e.g., Dell, HP) is a plus
• Networking experience with CCNA and/or Network+ certifications is a plus
• Previous experience in a Data Center environment (racking & stacking gear, cable management, hot & cold aisle containment)
• Associate’s degree in IT-related field plus two years of progressively responsible experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Engage in physical data center activities with or without reasonable accommodation, including planning and tracking capacity, rack deployment, rack cabling, hardware and software troubleshooting, and rack decommissioning
• Lift and move material up to 49 pounds; work in cramped and/or elevated locations
• Bend, lift, stretch, reach; stand and walk for extended periods; ascend/descend ladders, stairs, and gangways safely
• Work in a noisy environment and support 24/7 operations (longer shifts, including nights and weekends)

• This position will fill an opening at one of multiple sites and work shifts may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays
