Position Summary
The Facility Manager is a critical thought‑leadership role that uses data to paint a process picture for their leadership team and business partners, inspiring them to execute with excellence. As an operational role model and partner, your influence will be key to shaping both the business and the culture of your distribution environment. Reporting to facility leadership, you’ll support your team in fulfilling our customer promise and empowering people around the country to save more and live better.
Whatyou’ll do
- Communicate with individuals or groups verbally and/or in writing (e.g., customers, suppliers, associates)
- Drive, develop, and implement the business plan for your facility to achieve goals for production, quality, and safety while delivering operational improvements
- Approve, track, and manage facility expenses against budget; monitor asset utilization; and prepare, review, and analyze business reports
- Forecast staffing needs, monitor workloads, and evaluate performance results to ensure business requirements are met
- Monitor and ensure facility‑wide compliance with Supply Chain and company quality and safety standards, policies, procedures, and directives
- Supervise and manage associates and leaders by giving direction, monitoring performance, providing feedback, identifying training needs, and supporting their ongoing growth
- Identify and resolve associate, customer, and supplier concerns using sound judgment or consulting others as needed
- Demonstrate expertise in truck transportation loss control practices, tools, and techniques—using data analytics and visualization to assess, prevent, and reduce transportation risks
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to support plans, initiatives, and continuous improvement across the operation
