I. Job Summary
The phlebotomist performs venipunctures and skin punctures on patients of all ages competently and expediently. Has thorough knowledge of test requirements.
II. Duties And Responsibilitiesregulations or laws.
Employee will be required to be readily available to work during any weather related incidents or other natural disasters and/or any emergency situations that may arise.
III. EducationHigh school graduate or equivalent and completion of a certificate program including Phlebotomy Preferred. Experience is required with no completion of a certificate program.
Licensure:
None required
Education and/or In-services to verify ability to obtain specimens for the age of the patient i.e. Pediatrics, Geriatrics, etc.
CPR required every two years.
Trained in Phlebotomy procedures of all ages.
