Accountant, Financial Reporting, Accounting Manager

Accountant – Distribution Industry in the North of Johannesburg 🚛

Our client, a leading company in the distribution sector, is looking for a detail-driven and experienced Accountant to join their finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and enjoys being at the center of business operations.

• Manage and control the general ledger and ensure accurate postings
• Process and maintain the cashbook
• Review and sign off creditors reconciliations for month-end payments
• Administer and process company credit cards
• Produce accurate monthly reconciliations and Management Accounts (Balance Sheet & Income Statements)
• Manage the fixed assets register
• Prepare payment schedules and confidential cash flow reports for management
• Raise and process monthly journals (provisions, accruals, depreciation, etc.)
• Maintain beneficiaries and process daily creditor/debtor payments via the banking system
• Assist with external audits
  , preparing documentation and addressing queries
• Provide ad-hoc financial reporting to Directors as required

• Matric / Grade 12
• BCom Accounting degree
• At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• ERP/accounting system experience (
  SAP preferred
  )

• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills
• A team player with a proactive, solutions-focused approach
