Job Advert Summary

An Overview of Moore Johannesburg

Moore Johannesburg is a leading professional services firm within the Moore Global network of 30,000 professionals across 500 offices in 113 countries.

Locally, we are a growth focused, entrepreneurial firm working with ambitious founder led businesses, private capital backed companies, and organisations that are building and evolving. Our work spans Audit, Advisory, and Tax. We believe technical excellence should be paired with commercial thinking.

Our July Vacation Programme is designed for students who want real insight into the profession, not just a surface level introduction.

What the Programme Involves

The programme will run over five days in July 2026, with dates to be confirmed.

You will participate in interactive boardroom style sessions led by managers, directors, and partners. You will work through practical exercises based on real audit and advisory scenarios. You will collaborate in teams, solve problems, and present your thinking.

You will gain exposure to how audit engagements are planned and executed, how businesses are analysed, and how financial insight informs decision making. You will also gain insight into how a growing professional services firm operates behind the scenes.

The aim is to give you clarity on the auditing profession and a realistic sense of what a training contract at Moore Johannesburg looks like.

Minimum Requirements

Who Should Apply

We are looking for ambitious and motivated students who are currently enrolled in:

  • BCom Accounting
  • BAcc Sci
  • Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting (PGDA)

You should demonstrate a genuine interest in the auditing profession and be comfortable engaging in discussion, problem solving, and teamwork.

Strong analytical ability and clear communication skills are important. Beyond that, we are particularly interested in students who are commercially curious, think independently, and want more than a narrow, predictable path.

Duties and Responsibilities

What You Will Gain

During the programme, you will:

  • Engage directly with experienced professionals across levels
  • Participate in practical exercises that simulate real client work
  • Build relationships with peers who are serious about their careers
  • Gain meaningful exposure to our firm and its clients

If you are simply looking to add something to your CV, this may not be the right fit.

If you are looking for exposure, stretch, and a better understanding of whether an entrepreneurial training environment suits you, we encourage you to apply.
