Your key job responsibilities as the Accounts Payable Administrator in Johannesburg will include:

Collaborating with auditors to facilitate audit file preparation and efficiently address audit queries

Support the audit process with any related matter or analysis needed

Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement to manage and reduce costs effectively

Process and recon payments for invoices across the business

Offer input into risk identification processes and share recommendations in appropriate forums as needed

Assist the FM/CFO with any financial process or task within reason

Ensure that invoices submitted for payment are accompanied by the necessary supporting documentation and proper authorisations

Validate invoices to ensure accuracy in descriptions, authorisations, and proper VAT allocation, facilitating precise posting in relevant accounting programs and client cost allocation

Record invoices in accounting programs and generate payment requisitions when required

Verify banking details for changes or new vendors to ensure precise and secure payments

Upload payments to the banking system and carefully verify them

Conduct cross-checks between banking and invoice information for payments involving other entities

Seamlessly match vendor invoices with payments

Requirements for this Accounts Payable Administrator job in Johannesburg :

Knowledge of payments processing cycles online

Experience of accounting, compliance and regulation within the iGaming or similar industry

Matric, Grade 12 with relevant accounting subjects and good results (above 70%)

BCom in accounting or similar

3+ years post qualification experience, preferably in iGaming

Proficiency in Quick Books and Sage, with a demonstrated understanding and practical experience, is a prerequisite for this role

Power BI & Excel (at intermediate to advanced level.)

Strong understanding of MS Office

Advanced MS Excel skills for data analysis

Strong Accounting software experience

Demonstrate reliability and accuracy; a high level of attention to detail is crucial

Excellent computer skills

Proficiency in both Sage and Quick Books, with a demonstrated understanding and practical experience in both accounting systems

Desirable criteria for this Accounts Payable Administrator job in Johannesburg :

Previous experience in Vendor Management, Gaming Industry (Advantages)

Previous success in identifying and implementing process improvements in accounts payable procedures

Proficiency in advanced accounting software beyond the basics required for the role
