Bookkeeper

MSA Outsourcing Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper to support one of our UK-based clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring accuracy in day-to-day transactions, and supporting the finance department in maintaining smooth accounting operations.

• Record and maintain all financial transactions accurately and timely
• Reconcile bank statements and manage accounts payable and receivable
• Prepare VAT returns and ensure compliance with UK tax regulations
• Assist with payroll processing and maintain employee financial records
• Support month-end and year-end financial closing procedures
• Manage and maintain ledgers and financial reports
• Collaborate with external auditors and prepare necessary documentation
• Respond to client and vendor financial queries promptly and professionally
• Ensure confidentiality and security of financial information

• Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar financial role
• Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero or Quick Books Online
• Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards, VAT regulations, and payroll processing
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Competent with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Relevant accounting qualification such as a Bachelor's Degree or higher
• Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, AAT) is a plus
• Experience with payroll processing and tax compliance is advantageous
