Junior Cost Accountant

An established organisation is looking for a Junior Cost Accountant to join its finance team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has built a solid foundation in finance and is ready to expand their experience into cost accounting, financial analysis and reporting.

• Assist with day-to-day cost accounting functions
• Support the preparation and analysis of cost information
• Assist with Debtors and Creditors processing
• Process and reconcile financial transactions
• Assist with account and supplier reconciliations
• Analyse financial information and investigate variances
• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
• Prepare Excel-based reports and financial schedules
• Assist with month-end reporting and reconciliations
• Support the finance team with ad hoc analysis and projects
• Assist with general finance administration as required

• 24 years relevant finance/accounting experience
• Debtors experience essential
• Creditors experience essential
• Strong Excel skills non-negotiable
• Cost accounting or financial analysis exposure advantageous
• Logistics industry experience advantageous
