Tax Accountant – West

Are you a tax professional with a passion for compliance, reporting, and working across multiple African markets? We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Accountant to join a dynamic finance team supporting operations across the West Africa region.

• Prepare, review, and submit various tax returns, including VAT/TVA, Withholding Tax, Corporate Income Tax, Provisional Tax, and Deferred Tax.
• Ensure full compliance with local tax legislation and regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
• Perform monthly tax-related reconciliations and resolve outstanding reconciling items.
• Manage tax audits, assessments, and correspondence with revenue authorities.
• Support month-end and year-end reporting processes.
• Assist with transfer pricing documentation and other statutory reporting requirements.
• Monitor legislative changes and ensure appropriate implementation within the business.
• Collaborate with finance, treasury, accounts payable, and accounts receivable teams to ensure tax accuracy and compliance.

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field.
• Professional tax qualification advantageous.
• 3-5 years' experience in a tax-focused accounting role.
• Strong knowledge of VAT, Withholding Tax, Corporate Income Tax, Deferred Tax, and tax reporting.
• Experience with balance sheet reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Advanced Excel skills and ERP system experience.
• Fluent in French and English (non-negotiable).
• Experience working across multiple countries or regions will be highly advantageous.
