Accounts Payable Clerk; Local And Foreign

FMCG Manufacturing concern based on the West Rand has an exciting opportunity for a Local and Foreign Accounts Payable Clerk to join their Team. Report to the Financial Manager and be responsible for the effective execution and performance of the creditors function, ensuring accurate and timely processing of accounts payable activities, whilst maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

A completed Matric with a completed Bookkeeping Diploma / similar is essential for the role, coupled with 5 years local and foreign AP experience within a FMCG / Manufacturing environment. Understanding of imports and exports essential as well as working knowledge of Syspro.

KPI's include:

• Collect invoices and backup (local + foreign)
• proven ability to work with a local book value of R150m and a foreign book value of R150m (USD/Euro)
• perform the 3-way-match control (local + foreign)
• verify the invoices' approvals (when no P/O)
• capture the invoices (local + foreign)
• release invoice for payment (local + foreign)
• weekly / monthly cashflow forecast on payments
• reconcile the suppliers' statements (local + foreign)
• select invoices for payment
• responsible for new supplier application forms
• credit application forms (Terms & Conditions)
• filing of paid invoices and reconciliations
• reconcile foreign supplier payments
• evidence of Importation for Bank
• monitor prepayments
• attending to supplier queries and resolving them timeously
