Overview

Position: Junior Quantity Surveyor

Hire Resolves client is seeking a highly motivated and detail oriented Junior Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Johannesburg, Gauteng. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quantity surveying and a passion for the construction industry.

Responsibilities:

Assist senior quantity surveyors in preparing cost estimates for construction projects

Conduct site visits to assess project progress and identify any potential cost variations

Prepare and submit progress payment applications to clients

Assist in the preparation of final accounts and variations for projects

Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure accurate cost tracking and reporting

Utilise quantity surveying software to generate accurate cost reports and estimates

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or related field

1-2 years of experience in quantity surveying or construction cost estimating

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and quantity surveying software

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
