Job DescriptionWe are currently seeking a reliable and experienced Foreman to join our team in Johannesburg, South Africa. As a Foreman, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all construction activities on-site. You will work closely with our project managers to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and manage the construction site and all workers on-site
- Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with project plans and specifications
- Monitor and maintain construction schedules and deadlines
- Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards
- Resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise on-site
- Keep accurate records of daily progress, materials used, and labor hours
- Train and mentor new workers on-site
- Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders
- Ensure that all work is completed within budget and make recommendations for cost-saving measures
- Proven experience as a Foreman in the construction industry
- Sound knowledge of construction processes, equipment, and materials
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret project plans and specifications
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Good time management and organisational skills
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, if required
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
