Job Description

We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced Foreman to join our team in Johannesburg, South Africa. As a Foreman, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all construction activities on-site. You will work closely with our project managers to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage the construction site and all workers on-site
  • Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with project plans and specifications
  • Monitor and maintain construction schedules and deadlines
  • Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards
  • Resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise on-site
  • Keep accurate records of daily progress, materials used, and labor hours
  • Train and mentor new workers on-site
  • Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders
  • Ensure that all work is completed within budget and make recommendations for cost-saving measures
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Foreman in the construction industry
  • Sound knowledge of construction processes, equipment, and materials
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to read and interpret project plans and specifications
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Good time management and organisational skills
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, if required
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
