About the Role
Our client is seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager with extensive experience in construction to oversee significant building projects in the Randburg area. This role demands a leader capable of managing all project phases, from initial planning and design through to construction and final handover, ensuring adherence to stringent safety, quality, and budget standards. You will be responsible for coordinating with architects, engineers, contractors, and regulatory bodies, driving projects to successful completion and maintaining excellent stakeholder relationships.
This is a key position for someone passionate about delivering impactful construction projects within the Gauteng region.
- Lead and manage all aspects of construction projects, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and execution.
- Ensure compliance with all building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
- Coordinate and supervise site activities, including managing contractors and subcontractors.
- Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project alignment and satisfaction.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, resolving issues promptly to minimize delays and cost overruns.
- Conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings to monitor project performance.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in construction project management.
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale commercial or residential construction projects.
- In-depth knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and relevant regulations.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Professional certifications such as PMP or a chartered status are highly advantageous.
