• Lead and manage all phases of sports infrastructure projects, including feasibility studies, design, procurement, construction, and handover.
• Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial controls to ensure projects are delivered within financial parameters.
• Create and maintain detailed project schedules, tracking progress and implementing corrective actions as needed to meet deadlines.
• Oversee the selection and management of consultants, contractors, and suppliers, ensuring high-quality work and compliance with contractual obligations.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations, safety standards, and environmental policies.
• Manage project risks, identifying potential issues and developing mitigation strategies.
• Liaise effectively with all project stakeholders, including clients, government agencies, community groups, and internal teams.
• Chair project meetings, providing regular progress reports and updates to senior management and clients.
• Ensure effective communication and collaboration among all project team members.
• Conduct site inspections and quality control assessments throughout the construction process.

• A professional qualification in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• A minimum of 8 years of demonstrable experience in managing large-scale construction and infrastructure projects, with a significant focus on sports facilities.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects with budgets exceeding R100 million.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera), and contract administration.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in financial management, risk assessment, and quality assurance processes.
