ECD​/Nursery School Teacher - Douglasdale

A fantastic nursery school in Douglasdale is looking for a Teacher for the 3 months to 18 months age group to start on 14th January 2026.

Applicant must love babies and have knowledge of baby development and milestones from 3 months to 18 months.

• Must have at least 2 years experience with this age group and love babies
• Have strong admin skills to keep records of each baby
• Preferably have children of her own so that she can relate and have maternal instincts
• Preferably a mature later between 25 years and 45 years
• First language – English
• We are a Christian school – so must be able to relate
• Must have own transport and preferably not live too far from school (not longer than 20 minute drive from the school)
• Must be computer literate in MS Word – for report and assessment purposes
• Must be able to communicate freely to parents and display self-confidence
• Presentable lady with energy
• Be a team player and be able to take instruction

• 5 days per week from 7h15am to 14h15, except for once a week full day until 17h30
• Work collaboratively with two full time teacher assistants in the class
• Follow the curriculum and assess babies of milestones every month
• Keep strict record of each babies feeding times and amount, baby nappy changes and nap times and babies general well-being
• Stimulation rings – outdoor and indoors
• Do Baby Gym and Baby Massage (will be trained)
• Show initiative and be pro‑active
• We close in Easter and few days during long weekends and close on 15th December every year and open about 14th January every year.

• Organised and punctual
• If candidate has children, must ensure that she has a back‑up support system when own children get sick.
