• Associate Professor – Law of Contract and International Business Transactions Law (1 vacancy)
• Associate Professor – Law of Succession, Persons and Family Law (1 vacancy)
• Associate Professor – Law of Evidence, Civil and/or Criminal Procedure (1 vacancy)
• Associate Professor – Constitutional Law (primary teaching and research focus must be broader than the Bill of Rights) (1 vacancy)
• Associate Professor / Adjunct Professor – Corporate Law (1 vacancy)

• Applicants at the level of Associate Professor must have a doctorate (preferably in the advertised field being applied for) and substantial accredited research output in one of the fields applied for; a proven track record of effective teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels; and evidence of successful postgraduate supervision. Evidence of graduating PhD or LLM (research) students will be an advantage.
  
  An NRF rating is an advantage.
• Applicants at the level of Adjunct Professor must at least have an LLB, preferably an LLM, and must have worked in a professional field where they were not expected to be an active researcher. They must have distinguished themselves in teaching and excelled in their profession as evidenced by reputation and/or international standing.
• Applicants may be required to teach at both postgraduate and undergraduate level in the advertised fields and if the need arises in an additional field.
