Social Worker; AD

Requirements

• Registration with the South African Council for Social Service Professions (SACSSP)
• 3 – 5 years’ experience in counselling (short term individual and group)
• Experience in development and implementation of mental health and wellness advocacy programmes for student mental health and wellness.
• Excellent professional skills and experience to co‑ordinate, organise and implement life skills workshops, programmes, and presentations.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to liaise effectively and professionally, with a wide range of people e.g., colleagues, managers, scholars, students, faculty staff, internally and outside the university.
• Occasional after‑hours workshops/presentations on campus and in Residences
• Computer literacy
• Report writing, editing and research skills.

Experience in working in the above areas at a Higher Educational Institution would be an advantage.
