Purpose of Role

To design, develop, and update engaging and pedagogically sound course materials for the digital-first learning environment. The Content Writer will create a variety of assets—including module guides, study manuals, video content scripts, and assessments—that are directly ingested onto the Learning Management System (LMS) to ensure a high-quality, seamless learning experience for students.

Key Responsibilities Content Development & Instructional Design
  • Develop New Learning Materials:
    Design and author clear, concise, and learner‑centric content, including comprehensive study materials and assessments, in alignment with specified learning outcomes.
  • Adherence to Standards:
    Ensure all developed materials conform to institutional development guidelines, programmatic specifications, and the brand identity.
  • Content Revision and Updates:
    Proactively review and update existing learning materials and assessments to maintain relevance, accuracy, and continuous improvement of the curriculum.
Quality Assurance & Collaboration
  • Peer and Moderator Review:
    Collaborate with moderators and other subject matter experts for rigorous quality assurance reviews, ensuring the academic integrity and pedagogical effectiveness of all content.
  • Copy Editing and Finalization:
    Manage the submission of developed materials for professional copy editing through approved institutional processes to guarantee clarity, consistency, and correctness.
  • Community of Practice (COP) Engagement:
    Actively participate in the relevant Community of Practice to align content with faculty‑wide standards, share best practices, and contribute to collaborative curriculum enhancement.
LMS Administration & Content Management
  • Content Ingestion:
    Accurately upload, format, and release finalized course content and assessments to the LMS platform in the required technical formats.
  • Module Management:
    Manage and maintain the structure of module and assessment pages within the LMS, ensuring intuitive navigation and accessibility for students and faculty.
  • Resolve Content-Related Queries:
    Serve as a primary point of contact for resolving content-related technical queries and issues from both students and faculty within the LMS.
Project & Time Management
  • Schedule Development:
    Independently develop and manage personal production schedules, ensuring they align with the broader timelines set by the Design and Future Learning (DFL) department, Community of Practice (COP), and Faculty.
  • Workflow Monitoring:
    Proactively monitor personal work progress and the flow of materials between various stakeholders (e.g., moderators, editors, faculty) to ensure timely delivery and elevate any potential delays.
  • Progress Reporting:
    Maintain and regularly update internal project management tools to provide clear and consistent feedback on project status and deliverables to the wider team.
