The DaVinci Institute is seeking an experienced, innovative, and passionate Instructional Designer to join our dynamic academic development team.

This role is central to enacting DaVinci’s pedagogical and andragogical frameworks in the design and delivery of high-quality online, hybrid, and blended programmes. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with faculty to design engaging, research-informed, learner-centred educational experiences that drive meaningful learner outcomes.

We are looking for a high-energy professional who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, demonstrates strong business acumen and consistently delivers against strict milestones and deadlines.

Shortlisted candidates will be required to submit a portfolio of evidence showcasing previously developed course content and learning design projects.

Role Overview

The Instructional Designer coordinates and delivers learning design projects by actively partnering with faculty to conceptualise, design, develop and enhance engaging online courses and instructional materials. The role provides structured guidance through every stage of course development, from curriculum mapping to assessment design and LMS implementation.

The successful candidate must be equally comfortable operating at a strategic (big-picture) level and at a detailed execution level, switching fluidly between conceptual design thinking and procedural implementation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and revise interactive learning materials for online, hybrid, and blended environments.
  • Define course objectives, learning outcomes, assessment strategies, and instructional approaches.
  • Design meaningful graded assessments and interactive activities that enhance retention and engagement.
  • Review and quality-assure course materials for consistency and alignment.
  • Continuously improve programme design based on emerging trends and technologies in adult education.
Faculty Collaboration & Support
  • Prepare for and lead structured yet adaptive faculty meetings to gather requirements and secure buy-in.
  • Articulate course development processes, timelines, and responsibilities clearly.
  • Provide individual and group development support through workshops, consultations, and training.
  • Assist faculty in implementing active learning strategies across diverse learning styles and contexts.
  • Deliver research-based, learner-centred course development support.
LMS & Digital Development
  • Build and maintain courses within the Learning Management System (Moodle).
  • Reformat and quality-check course content before and after LMS integration (in collaboration with QA).
  • Design interactive learning solutions using rapid e-learning authoring tools and AI applications.
  • Manage digital asset intake, organisation, archiving, and version control.
  • Update and maintain existing courses within the LMS.
  • Collaborate with multimedia designers to produce high-quality videos, graphics, and interactive resources.
  • Integrate AI tools and emerging technologies into course development workflows.
  • Stay current with developments in digital learning and instructional design innovation.
  • Demonstrate a clear passion for driving positive learner outcomes through digital transformation.
Project Management & Reporting
  • Track and report regularly on course development milestones and progress.
  • Manage the inputs of external content developers where applicable.
  • Establish workflows, processes, and procedures to ensure efficiency and quality.
  • Ensure adherence to strict deliverables and deadlines.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Formal training in instructional design or adult learning methodologies advantageous.
Experience
  • 3–5 years’ proven experience in a dedicated instructional/learning design role

Technical Proficiency
