Safety Officer

Our client, a leading company in the pet food manufacturing industry, is seeking a qualified and experienced Safety Officer to join their team on a 3-month contract basis. The ideal candidate should have a solid background in safety management, preferably with experience in construction or manufacturing environments.

Minimum Requirements:

• Diploma in Safety Management or related field.

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Safety Officer, preferably in the construction or manufacturing industry.

• Registered with SACPCMP (South African Council for the Project and Construction Management Professions).

• HIRA Training (Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment).

• Incident Investigation Training.

• Strong knowledge of OHS legislation and compliance practices.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations across the site.

• Conduct risk assessments and safety audits.

• Investigate incidents and recommend corrective actions.

• Implement and maintain HSE policies and procedures.

• Promote a strong safety culture among all employees.
