Overview

Hire Resolve, a leading recruitment agency, is representing their client in search of a Professional Civil Engineer Technologist.

The successful candidate will play a key role in road and water infrastructure projects, with the flexibility to work from either Durban or Johannesburg.

Responsibilities:

Lead and manage road and water infrastructure projects from start to finish, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

Develop detailed engineering designs, drawings, and specifications using industry-standard software.

Provide technical expertise and guidance throughout the project lifecycle, including feasibility studies, site investigations, and construction supervision.

Collaborate with clients, government agencies, contractors, and stakeholders to meet project objectives and regulatory requirements.

Conduct quality assurance reviews and inspections to verify compliance with design standards and specifications.

Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues associated with projects to ensure successful delivery.

Mentor and support junior engineers and technologists, fostering a collaborative work environment.

Prepare comprehensive project documentation, reports, and progress updates for internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering or related field.

Registration as a Professional Engineer (PR Eng) or Professional Technologist (PR Tech) with ECSA.

Proven experience in civil engineering project management, specifically in road and water infrastructure projects.

Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Bentley Micro Station, or similar design software.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to propose effective solutions.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.

Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Knowledge of relevant South African regulations, codes, and standards in civil engineering and construction.
