Modelling Consultant | Building Performance & Energy Simulation

We are partnering with a specialist sustainability consultancy focused on transforming the built environment through advanced modelling, energy optimisation, and green building certification.

This role sits within a dedicated modelling and simulation team and focuses on delivering high-quality building performance models that support certification outcomes and performance-driven design decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and run building performance and energy models using industry-recognised simulation tools
• Analyse thermal comfort, energy efficiency, and performance outcomes
• Support projects from early design through to construction and certification
• Prepare technical modelling reports and documentation
• Collaborate with sustainability consultants and project teams
• Contribute to continuous improvement of modelling workflows

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related built environment discipline
• Minimum 3 years experience in building performance or energy modelling
• Strong understanding of building physics principles
• Experience with tools such as Design Builder, Energy Plus, IES VE or similar
• Exposure to Green Star, LEED, EDGE or Net Zero projects advantageous
