- Grade 12
- Tertiary Engineering/Quality/Safety/Environmental related qualification (preferred)
- MS Office Package – Intermediate Level (preferred)
- IMS Internal Auditor (preferred)
- Working knowledge of ISO
9001, 14001 & 45001 (preferred)
- Experienced in the use of computer file structures (Dashboards)
- Proficient in MS Office (particularly Word, EXCEL, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
- Experienced in the administration of SHEQ and related systems

Manage the WORK Technical Proficiency
- Understanding of SHEQ systems and standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
- Familiarity with South African legislation such as the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA).
- Strong skills in document control, data entry, and maintaining compliance records.
- Ability to compile and manage safety files and audit documentation.
- Ability to assist in identifying hazards, conducting risk assessments, and implementing mitigation measures.
- Competence in preparing for and supporting internal and external audits.
- Monitoring corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
- Supporting SHEQ training sessions and toolbox talks.
- Ensuring staff are aware of and comply with SHEQ policies.
- Assisting in the reporting, investigation, and documentation of incidents and near misses.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and SHEQ software tools.
- Ability to generate reports and dashboards for management.
- Managing multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently, especially during audits or project rollouts.
- Identifying opportunities to improve SHEQ processes and suggesting enhancements.
- Ensure adherence to ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 14001 (Environment), and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety) standards.
- Track and report on compliance gaps and corrective actions.
- Coordinate employee occupational health screenings and wellness initiatives.
- Prepare for and support internal and external ISO audits.
- Liaise with certification bodies and ensure audit findings are addressed.
- Support risk assessments and incident investigations in line with ISO protocols.
- Monitor implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Maintain incident & accident records and support investigations
- Identify opportunities for system and process improvements.
- Recommend updates based on changes in ISO standards or legislation
- Ensure adherence to environmental laws and standards.
- Manage waste disposal, pollution control and resource conservation records
- Maintain and update SHEQ management systems (e.g., SharePoint).
- Ensure data integrity and system functionality for accurate reporting
- Generate SHEQ performance reports and dashboards for internal and external stakeholders.
- Consolidate and quality‑assure data for audits and management reviews
- Provide first‑level support and training to staff on using SHEQ systems.
- Promote system usage and ensure user compliance
- Manage documentation related to policies, procedures, audits and risk assessments.
- Ensure timely updates and version control of all SHEQ‑related documents
- Promote SHEQ awareness through campaigns and internal communications.
- Coordinate internal audits and liaise with external auditors and certification bodies.
