Are you seeking your next international assignment? Our global Oil & Gas client is offering an excellent opportunity for a Construction Subcontract Lead to join the Mozambique LNG Project
, based in Afungi Site / Remote Area
. The successful candidate will ensure that Subcontract administration is performed efficiently, effectively and in accordance with corporate policies and procedures and within the budgets allocated and within the constraints of the projects.
- Develop and maintain registers for all subcontracts to monitor the performance against the responsibilities undertaken as per the Subcontract.
- Instruct the Subcontractor on the procedure of Administration.
- Review and validate the progress payment submitted by Subcontractors.
- Assure that extra works, new unit prices, claims, back charges, liquidated damages and close out of the Subcontracts are performed / processed in accordance with the relevant procedure.
- Ensure that the letters and notices from the Subcontractors are appropriately replied to.
- Ensure all letters, instructions and notices given to Subcontractors are acknowledged and acted upon in a timely manner.
- Monitor key dates against dates defined in the main contract, any variations and claims submittal advice to project management team of the implications of project program and forecasts, if any (i.e. delays/costs).
- Analyze the issued Site Technical Queries, Site Instructions, Deviation Requests to determine cost impact related to Subcontracts.
- Participate actively in change management and risk management sessions.
- Manage commercial close out of Subcontract Agreements. Follow up on Completion Certificates.
- Ensure collection and sharing of lessons learned, feedbacks and returns of experience on issues/criticalities encountered during subcontract management activities.
- Bachelor’s degree in one of the following (or equivalent experience).
- 5–10+ years in construction subcontract management, contract administration, or project controls.
- Experience on large-scale projects (EPC, infrastructure, industrial, mining, commercial).
- English language skills required (Portuguese will be considered as plus).
