SummaryWe are seeking a driven Mechanical Engineer to join our Manufacturing team in the East Rand. This junior opportunity suits a candidate with ±2 years’ experience and strong leadership potential, forming part of our succession planning.
Position InfoKey Responsibilities
- Lead and support engineering technicians, ensuring effective problem-solving and root cause analysis.
- Identify operational and technical issues and implement process improvements.
- Develop and implement engineering schedules and maintenance practices.
- Drive continuous improvement in manufacturing processes and equipment reliability.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulations, and company policies.
- Generate reports and schedules using relevant software systems.
- Collaborate with production and cross-functional teams to achieve operational targets.
- NQF Level 7 qualification in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 2 years’ engineering experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Leadership experience advantageous; strong leadership potential essential.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail skills.
- Government Certificate of Competency (advantageous; opportunity to obtain through the company).
- Willingness to undergo medical assessments.
