A reputable packaging company is looking to employ a PLC Programmer based in Johannesburg East. The successful candidate will be required to compile automation scope, specify equipment, build and program final layout. Ensure all documents as per systems integrator fulfilled – scope, operation, process description, electrical drawings, panel drawings, commission and handover equipment, and ensure training to staff to maintain/troubleshoot equipment.

• National Diploma/BTech/BEng in Electrical, Electronic or Mechatronics Engineering.
• 3–5+ years’ hands‑on PLC programming experience in FMCG/packaging/high‑volume manufacturing.
• Proven ability to work with Allen‑Bradley (Control Logix/Compact Logix) and/or Siemens S7/TIA Portal.
• SCADA/HMI experience (Wonderware, WinCC, Ignition or similar).
• Strong understanding of AC/DC drives, servos, motion control and safety circuits.
• Solid knowledge of industrial communication protocols:
  Profibus, Profinet, Device Net, Ethernet/IP.
• Experience with robotics (KUKA, ABB, Fanuc) and high‑speed packaging equipment (Krones, Tetra Pak, Sidel, KHS) advantageous.
• Familiar with electrical drawings and standards (E-Plan, AutoCAD Electrical)
