Wastewater Engineer

Wastewater Engineer: DBN / PMB / CPT

The role involves site work and may require travel at short notice. A full and valid driver’s license is essential.

JG Afrika is seeking an experienced Wastewater Engineer.

• The design of wastewater infrastructure
• Project management of multidisciplinary projects
• Preparing contract documentation
• Contract administration
• Supporting Green Drop and Blue Drop compliance

• A minimum of a BSc, BEng, or BTech in Civil Engineering is required.
• A Master’s in Water and Wastewater Treatment Processes is a strong advantage.
• A BSc or BEng in Chemical Engineering will also be considered, provided you have experience in municipal wastewater treatment design and project management. Please provide evidence on your CV.
• Registered with ECSA as a Professional Engineer/Technologist, or close to registration.
• A valid driver’s license.

• At least 8 years of experience in wastewater infrastructure design and contract administration, with good knowledge of treatment plant processes.

• Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills are required.
• Strong and demonstratable technical skills in the Engineering space.
  
  Competencies:
  
  Strong AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, and Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel, Word and MS Project.

• Must be able to provide contactable references.
• Qualification and other applicable verification checks will be done.
