On-Site Subordinate Manager; LMI

Minimum Requirements

• Registered Lifting Machinery Inspector (LMI).
• Valid Driver’s Licence
• A minimum of 5 years working experience in the field.
• Grade 12 minimum education.
• Complete knowledge of all competitors, and company Products Technical information.

• Assist the Services & Marketing Manager with all On-Site Requirements.
• Implementation of New Sites, Asset System.
• Development of Sites & Service Department.
• Planned Task Observations and Other Mandatory / Statutory Requirements.
• Site Audits, Scope of Works, QMS, Cross Functional Audits on Teams.
• Liaison between Admin and the Services & Marketing Manager.
• Report Writing.
• Procedure Writing.
• Highly Computer Literate and able to implement and plan system development.
• Backup Supervisor as and when required.

• On-Site Service and repairs to all makes of Beams, electric overhead cranes, electric rope hoists, electric chain hoists, mechanical chain-blocks, and lever blocks. Including Ancillary Equipment like Festoon Systems, Supply Systems, Safety Systems etc. (Scope Dependant)
• Installation and calibration of load limiting devices. (Scope Dependant)
• In House Strip and Quotes to electric overhead cranes, electric rope hoists, electric chain hoists, mechanical chain-blocks, and lever blocks. Including Ancillary Equipment like Festoon Systems, Supply Systems, Safety Systems etc. (Scope Dependant)
• In House Repairs to electric overhead cranes, electric rope hoists, electric chain hoists, mechanical chain-blocks, and lever blocks. Including Ancillary Equipment like Festoon Systems, Supply Systems, Safety Systems etc. (Scope Dependant)
• In House Proof Load Testing to Beams, electric overhead travelling cranes, electric rope hoists and chain hoists. (Scope Dependant)
• Modifications to upgrade electrical and mechanical units. (Scope Dependant)
• Client Liaison, administration, and correspondence.

NOTE: LMI Scope Dependant.

• Must be mature and domestically secure.
• Be prepared to spend time travelling, being away from home every month.
• Work extended hours (overtime).
• Must comply with all customer rules and fatal risk standards and address any safety critical issues immediately.
• Good Communication skills (verbal, written).
• Highly motivated, competent & energetic individual.
• Pro-active individual with a positive “can-do” attitude.

• All applicants should be able to pass a full medical including, heat tolerance, lung function tests as well as criminal and financial screening. (Failed Tests will be for the applicants account).
• Applicant will also be expected to be available at short notice and spend up to 95% of their working time away from home.
