Electrical Project Engineer - Construction

About the Role

Our client is seeking a competent Electrical Project Engineer to manage and oversee electrical installations for various construction projects in the Randburg area. This role involves ensuring that electrical systems are installed safely, efficiently, and according to design specifications and project timelines. You will coordinate with site teams, subcontractors, and clients to deliver high-quality electrical infrastructure. This position requires a proactive individual with strong project management skills and a thorough understanding of construction site electrical requirements, contributing to the successful execution of diverse building projects.

• Manage and supervise the installation of electrical systems on construction sites.
• Review electrical designs and ensure they meet project requirements and standards.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel to ensure timely project completion.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and quality control measures on site.
• Prepare project documentation, including progress reports and as-built drawings.

• B.Eng. or
  
  B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering .
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in electrical project engineering , particularly in construction.
• Strong knowledge of building services, power distribution, and low-voltage systems.
• Experience in reading and interpreting electrical drawings and specifications.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of local building codes and safety regulations in Randburg .
