About the Role
Our client is seeking a results-oriented Senior Industrial Engineer to drive operations excellence at their facility in Randburg, Gauteng . This role is instrumental in analyzing, designing, and implementing improvements across manufacturing and business processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and elevate product quality. You will lead key projects, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate closely with operational leadership to embed a culture of continuous improvement.
This is a hands-on role requiring significant on-site presence to effectively engage with teams and oversee process transformations.
- Lead the development and execution of operations excellence initiatives, including Lean Six Sigma projects.
- Analyze complex operational data to identify root causes of inefficiencies and develop targeted solutions.
- Design and implement improved workflows, plant layouts, and material handling systems.
- Develop and maintain operational performance metrics, dashboards, and reporting structures.
- Train and mentor operations staff on continuous improvement methodologies and best practices.
- Collaborate with quality assurance and production management to ensure adherence to standards and drive quality improvements.
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial engineering with a strong focus on process improvement and operations management.
- Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent demonstrable expertise.
- Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing improvement projects.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and statistical analysis skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement.
