About the Position
UNIK Civil Engineering is looking for an experienced and competent Land Surveyor to join our project team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting accurate land and construction surveys, setting out works, collecting and analysing survey data, and providing technical surveying support on site.
The ideal candidate must have strong practical experience in construction/civil engineering environments and be highly proficient in GPS, Total Station, and AutoCAD
.
- Conduct land, topographical and construction surveys.
- Perform accurate setting out of construction works, levels, coordinates and benchmarks.
- Operate and maintain GPS and Total Station surveying equipment.
- Collect, record and analyse survey data.
- Prepare and update survey drawings using AutoCAD
. - Verify construction work against approved drawings and specifications.
- Establish and maintain site benchmarks and control points.
- Conduct as-built surveys and prepare as-built information.
- Provide accurate measurements and levels to the site construction team.
- Monitor and report any discrepancies between design drawings and site conditions.
- Liaise with Site Agents, Engineers, Quantity Surveyors and other project personnel.
- Maintain accurate survey records, reports and documentation.
- Ensure all surveying activities comply with project specifications, standards and safety requirements.
- Relevant qualification in Land Surveying / Geomatics or a related field.
- 5-10 years' relevant experience as a Land Surveyor.
- Previous experience in civil engineering or construction projects is essential.
- Proficient in GPS surveying equipment
. - Proficient in Total Station operation.
- Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD
. - Ability to interpret engineering, construction and survey drawings.
- Strong mathematical and technical surveying skills.
- Valid driver's licence will be advantageous.
- Professional registration or eligibility for registration with the relevant professional body will be advantageous.
