About the Role
Our client is looking for a skilled Pipeline Integrity Engineer to join their team in Randburg . This role is essential for maintaining the safety, reliability, and longevity of the company's pipeline infrastructure within the Oil & Gas industry . You will be responsible for developing and implementing integrity management programs, including inspection, testing, and maintenance strategies. Working closely with field operations and regulatory bodies, you will ensure compliance with stringent industry standards and contribute to proactive risk mitigation.
Your technical expertise will be vital in preserving the integrity of critical energy transportation assets.
- Develop and implement comprehensive pipeline integrity management plans.
- Oversee and analyze data from inline inspection (ILI) tools, direct assessments, and other NDT methods.
- Assess pipeline risks associated with corrosion, mechanical damage, and operational factors.
- Recommend appropriate repair strategies, maintenance activities, and preventive measures.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry codes, standards (e.g., API, ASME), and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with operations, engineering, and maintenance teams to address integrity issues.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 4+ years of experience in pipeline integrity management, pipeline engineering, or a related field within the oil and gas sector.
- Strong knowledge of pipeline materials, corrosion mechanisms, and relevant industry standards.
- Experience with ILI data analysis and risk assessment techniques.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements for pipeline operations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
