We are seeking a highly skilled Industrial Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team in Johannesburg. • Design, program, and configure PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems for industrial applications.
• Develop detailed functional specifications, system architectures, and control philosophies.
• Conduct comprehensive system testing, simulation, and factory acceptance testing (FAT).
• Perform on-site commissioning, troubleshooting, and optimization of automation systems.
• Collaborate with project managers and electrical engineers to ensure timely project delivery.
• Provide technical support and training to clients and internal team members.
• Ensure all engineering designs adhere to local and international safety standards.

• Proficiency in programming major PLC brands such as ABB, Siemens, or Rockwell.
• Strong understanding of industrial communication protocols including Modbus and Profibus.
• Experience with SCADA and DCS software configuration and database management.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills for troubleshooting control loops.
• Effective communication skills for technical documentation and client interaction.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in project environments.

Candidates must possess a Bachelor of Science (BSc) or Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related discipline.

A minimum of five years of hands‑on experience in industrial automation engineering is required. Proven experience in commissioning large‑scale industrial control systems is highly advantageous.
