Senior Instrumentation Engineer

Our client is seeking an accomplished Senior Instrumentation Engineer to bolster their team in Randburg. You will take the lead in designing, specifying, and implementing instrumentation and control systems for complex industrial processes. • Design and specify instrumentation, control valves, and related equipment for industrial applications.
• Develop P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams), cause and effect matrices, and instrument datasheets.
• Select appropriate sensors, transmitters, and control systems for optimal process performance.
• Oversee the installation, calibration, and commissioning of instrumentation systems.
• Provide technical support for troubleshooting and diagnosing instrumentation and control issues.
• Ensure all designs and installations comply with safety regulations and industry standards.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in instrumentation and control engineering.
• In-depth knowledge of process instrumentation, DCS, and PLC systems.
• Experience with hazardous area classifications and intrinsic safety principles.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting P&IDs and electrical schematics.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to manage projects in a hybrid work setup.
