Senior Mechanical Design Engineer - Automation Systems

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and innovative Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the design of advanced automation systems in Randburg . • Lead the mechanical design and development of sophisticated automation systems, including robotics, conveyors, and material handling equipment.
• Create detailed 3D models, assembly drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) using advanced CAD software.
• Perform kinematic and dynamic analysis to optimize the performance and reliability of automated machinery.
• Collaborate closely with electrical and software engineers to integrate mechanical designs with control systems.
• Oversee prototyping, testing, and validation of automation solutions to ensure functionality and safety.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers within the team.

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in the design of automated machinery or robotic systems.
• Expertise in 3D CAD software (e.g., Solid Works, Inventor) and simulation tools.
• Strong understanding of mechatronics, control systems, and industrial automation principles.
• Proven experience in bringing complex automated systems from concept to production.
