Mine Planning Specialist About the Role
Our client is seeking a strategic and analytical Mine Planning Specialist to contribute to the efficient and sustainable development of their mining projects in Randburg. This role involves long‑term and short‑term mine planning, optimizing resource extraction to meet production targets while adhering to safety, environmental, and economic considerations. You will work closely with mining engineers, geologists, and other technical experts to translate geological models into viable mine plans.
This is an excellent opportunity for a planning professional to shape operational strategies within a progressive mining company that values long‑term vision and operational excellence.
- Develop and update long-term (5-20 year) and short-term (1-3 year) mine plans.
- Optimize mine layouts, scheduling, and sequencing to maximize economic value and resource recovery.
- Collaborate with geologists to integrate resource models into mine planning processes.
- Conduct mine planning studies, including pit design
