Civil Engineer - Water and Wastewater

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Civil Engineer with expertise in water and wastewater systems to join their team in Randburg . This role focuses on the design, development, and implementation of essential water and sanitation infrastructure projects that serve communities. You will be involved in all phases of the project lifecycle, from initial concept and feasibility studies to detailed design and construction supervision.

This is a key position for an engineer passionate about public health and environmental sustainability, contributing directly to the provision of vital services within the Gauteng province.

• Design and plan water supply networks, distribution systems, and treatment facilities.
• Develop wastewater collection systems, pumping stations, and treatment processes.
• Conduct hydraulic modeling and analysis for water and sewer systems.
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and water quality standards.
• Provide technical oversight during the construction phase of water and wastewater projects.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on water resources or environmental engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the design of water and wastewater infrastructure.
• Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) registration with ECSA or ECSA Candidate Engineer progressing towards professional registration.
• Proficiency in hydraulic modeling software (e.g., EPANET, SWMM) and CAD software.
• Strong understanding of water treatment processes and wastewater management principles.
• Excellent technical report writing and communication skills.
