Senior HSE Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent and experienced Senior HSE Engineer to join their operations in Randburg . This position is crucial for ensuring the highest standards of Health, Safety, and Environmental performance across all company activities in the Oil & Gas sector. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring HSE policies and procedures, conducting risk assessments, and driving a strong safety culture.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing complex HSE programs, providing leadership, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices within the Gauteng province.

• Develop and implement comprehensive Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) management systems.
• Conduct risk assessments, hazard identification, and incident investigations, recommending corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable HSE legislation, regulations, and industry standards.
• Develop and deliver HSE training programs to employees and contractors.
• Monitor HSE performance through audits and inspections, and prepare regular HSE reports for management.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in HSE management , preferably within the Oil & Gas industry.
• Professional HSE certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) are highly desirable.
• In-depth knowledge of HSE regulations, risk management techniques, and safety procedures.
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
