About the Role

Our client is looking for a specialized Control Systems Engineer - Chemical to join their innovative team in Randburg . This role focuses on the design, implementation, and maintenance of advanced process control systems that optimize efficiency, safety, and product quality within chemical manufacturing. • Design, configure, and implement Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC).
• Develop and optimize advanced process control (APC) strategies for complex chemical processes.
• Troubleshoot and maintain control system hardware and software to ensure reliable operation.
• Collaborate with process engineers to define control strategies and implement improvements.
• Develop and maintain P&IDs, control narratives, and functional design specifications.
• Ensure all control system implementations comply with safety and cybersecurity standards.

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in industrial automation and control systems engineering, preferably in the chemical sector.
• Proficiency with major DCS/PLC platforms (e.g., Honeywell Experion, Siemens PCS 7, Rockwell Logix).
• Strong understanding of process control theory, instrumentation, and industrial networks.
• Experience with SCADA systems and data acquisition.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
