Role DescriptionThe OEG Graduate Program is a contract, on-site opportunity based in Sandton, Johannesburg. Graduates work alongside senior engineers and project managers on infrastructure advisory and delivery projects across Africa.
The role includes research, data analysis, technical reporting, design documentation, proposals, presentations, and project updates. Graduates also coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, participate in problem-solving discussions, and attend site visits when required. The program offers mentorship, structured learning, and exposure to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications- A bachelor’s degree, or current final-year studies, in engineering, applied science, or a related field.
- Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prepare clear, accurate reports, technical documents, and presentations.
- Proficiency with spreadsheets and familiarity with relevant technical or modelling tools, with a willingness to learn new applications.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
- Interest in sustainability, infrastructure development, and regulatory frameworks in African markets.
- Exposure to water, environmental management, energy, telecommunications, asset management, or infrastructure planning is an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in Sandton, travel to project sites across Africa when required, and manage competing deadlines.
