An established engineering consultancy is seeking an Electrical Revit/BIM Draftsman for a permanent opportunity in Johannesburg, Gauteng.
THE ROLEPrepare accurate electrical BIM models, drawings and construction documentation for commercial, industrial and building-services projects, working closely with engineers and other project disciplines.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Develop and maintain electrical BIM models using Revit MEP Electrical.
- Prepare electrical layouts and documentation covering lighting, small power, HV/LV systems and cable containment.
- Produce drawings for generators, UPS systems, earthing, lightning protection and fire detection.
- Support multidisciplinary BIM coordination and clash detection.
- Create and maintain Revit families, schedules, sheets and project templates.
- Manage drawing revisions and prepare as-built documentation.
- Relevant electrical engineering or draughting qualification.
- At least 3 years relevant electrical BIM/draughting experience, ideally 35 years or more.
- Strong practical proficiency in Revit MEP Electrical and AutoCAD.
- Experience in electrical building-services modelling and documentation.
- Understanding of BIM coordination, families, templates and drawing standards.
- Accuracy, attention to detail and the ability to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
CTC, depending on experience, qualifications and technical proficiency.
