Mine Surveyor - Pit Specialist

Our client is seeking a skilled Mine Surveyor with a specialization in open-pit operations to join their team near Randburg . This role is vital for accurately measuring and mapping mine sites, ensuring that excavation and development activities align precisely with design plans. You will utilize advanced surveying equipment and software to provide critical data for mine planning, production monitoring, and geological modeling.

• Conduct topographic surveys, volume calculations, and setting out of mine infrastructure and work areas.
• Operate and maintain advanced surveying equipment, including total stations, GPS, and laser scanners.
• Process and analyze survey data using specialized software to produce accurate maps and models.
• Collaborate closely with mine engineers, geologists, and production teams to provide timely survey support.
• Ensure compliance with survey standards, regulations, and safety protocols.

• National Diploma or Degree in Mine Surveying or Geomatics.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Mine Surveyor, with significant experience in open-pit mining.
• Proficiency with surveying software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar.
• Experience with GPS, Total Stations, and potentially drone surveying technologies.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving abilities.
