Electrical Engineer - Instrumentation & Control

Our client is seeking a specialized Electrical Engineer focusing on Instrumentation and Control systems for their operations in Randburg . This role is vital for ensuring the precise monitoring and control of industrial processes. You will be involved in the design, implementation, calibration, and maintenance of sophisticated instrumentation and control systems. This position operates in a hybrid model, combining remote technical analysis with on-site field work.

• Design and specify instrumentation, control valves, and associated electrical systems.
• Develop and implement PLC, SCADA, and DCS systems for process automation.
• Perform calibration and maintenance of measurement instruments (e.g., pressure, temperature, flow sensors).
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with control loops and field instrumentation.
• Prepare technical documentation, including P&IDs, loop diagrams, and instrument lists.
• Collaborate with process engineers and operations teams to improve system performance.

• BEng or BSc in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in instrumentation and control systems engineering.
• Proficiency in PLC/SCADA/DCS programming and configuration.
• Strong knowledge of industrial communication protocols (e.g., Profibus, Modbus).
• Experience with various types of industrial instrumentation and control valves.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment , including potential site visits.
