Senior Biomedical Engineer

Our client is seeking a highly qualified Senior Biomedical Engineer to contribute to their medical device innovation team in Randburg. This role is crucial for the research, development, and testing of new medical technologies that improve patient care. • Lead the design, development, and prototyping of novel medical devices and systems.
• Conduct rigorous testing and validation of medical devices, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, clinical affairs, and manufacturing.
• Troubleshoot technical issues encountered during product development and production phases.
• Mentor junior biomedical engineers and provide technical guidance.

• M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering or a related field.
• A minimum of 6 years of experience in the medical device industry or related R&D.
• Proven experience in product development lifecycle, from concept to market launch.
• Strong understanding of physiology, anatomy, and medical device design principles.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as FDA, CE marking, and ISO 13485.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
