About the Role
Our client, a leading manufacturing facility in Randburg , requires a highly experienced Senior Electrical Maintenance Engineer to ensure the optimal functioning and reliability of their industrial electrical systems. This hands-on role is critical for minimizing downtime and maximizing operational efficiency within the plant. You will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance team, developing preventative maintenance strategies, and responding to complex electrical faults.
The ideal candidate possesses deep knowledge of industrial electrical systems, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and strong leadership capabilities. You will contribute to maintaining a safe and productive work environment, ensuring all electrical equipment operates at peak performance.
- Develop and implement comprehensive preventative maintenance programs for all electrical equipment.
- Lead and mentor the electrical maintenance team, assigning tasks and ensuring performance standards are met.
- Troubleshoot and repair complex electrical issues on production machinery and plant infrastructure.
- Conduct root cause analysis for electrical failures and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations related to electrical systems.
- Manage spare parts inventory and recommend procurement for critical components.
- National Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in electrical maintenance within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience with high-voltage and low-voltage systems, motors, VFDs, and control systems.
- Strong understanding of PLC troubleshooting and industrial automation systems.
- Experience in leading and managing a technical team.
- Excellent diagnostic skills and a commitment to safety and operational excellence on-site in Randburg .
