Senior Industrial Engineer - Automation

Our client is seeking a highly motivated Senior Industrial Engineer with a specialization in automation to join their cutting-edge facility in Randburg . This role involves leading the design, implementation, and optimization of automated systems and processes to enhance manufacturing efficiency, quality, and safety. You will work on integrating advanced technologies into production lines and ensuring seamless operation of automated equipment.

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of automated manufacturing systems .
• Analyze current production processes and identify opportunities for automation to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Select, specify, and integrate robotic systems, PLC controls, and other automation technologies.
• Develop and execute validation and testing procedures for new automated systems.
• Provide technical expertise and support for automated equipment, troubleshooting issues and implementing enhancements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and IT, to ensure successful automation projects.

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in industrial engineering with a strong focus on automation and robotics .
• Proven experience in designing, implementing, and commissioning automated production lines.
• Strong knowledge of PLC programming, HMI development, and robotics .
• Familiarity with industrial control systems and manufacturing execution systems (MES).
