Estimator, Engineering, Manufacturing Engineer

Meyerton Engineering is looking for an experienced Estimator to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for fabrication, manufacturing and engineering projects, working closely with our Fabrication, Operations, Quality, Welding and Procurement teams.

Key Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years' estimating experience in a steel fabrication, manufacturing or engineering environment
• Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Experience with material take-offs, labour and fabrication costing
• Experience with AutoCAD and SigmaNEST
• Good knowledge of MS Excel and MS Projects
• Strong attention to detail and commercial awareness
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Valid driver's licence

Industry experience is important – we are specifically looking for someone who understands the realities of steel fabrication, manufacturing and engineering, rather than a general estimator.
